Well, after years of being a “Maverick” (a “Maverick” is media code for “a Republican who frequently betrays the people and ideals of his own party”—the exceptionally rare Democrat who does this is a “pariah”) in the Senate, John McCain seems to have quite a bit more political savvy than George W. Bush.

W. has been oblivious to the biggest challenge of any Republican—that you will have to fight not only a vicious enemy in the average Democrat but that everything the American voter gets in the way of information will be twisted and perverted by a radical-Left-leaning media.

gas attack kurds 02Quick example: how many times have you heard, “Bush lied, people died” or something meaning basically the same thing just not as infantile, coming from the lame-stream media? The implication is that Saddam Hussein did not have “weapons of mass destruction” and absolutely nothing of value has come to us or the people of Iraq from Operation: Iraqi Freedom.

How can this even be taken seriously when thousands upon thousands of Kurds were killed and maimed from 1987 to 1988 by Hussein’s use of Mustard gas, Sarin, Tabun and VX??!!

 gas attack kurds 03

Very quietly, away from the cameras and media empty suits, there is this State Department web site.[1] It has some disturbing information regarding the “WMD” that “Saddam” (this dead barbarian ain’t my buddy so he’s just “Hussein” to me) supposedly never had—

Immediate Medical Effects in Halabja Chemical Weapons Used
  • Death by asphyxiation.
  • Skin burns and blisters.
  • Impaired vision, blindness.
  • Breathing difficulty, respiratory shutdown.
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, digestive shutdown.
  • Neurological disorder.
  • Convulsions, coma.
Saddam’s regime purposefully mixed mustard gas and nerve agents to magnify their initial and long-term effects.

  • Mustard gas, a blistering agent, affects membranes of the nose, throat, and lungs.
  • Nerve agents such as Sarin, Tabun, and VX attack eyes and respiratory tracts.
  • Chemical weapons contaminate the food and water supplies, soil, and animal populations.
Long-term Medical Effects Halabja: A Testing Ground
  • Permanent blindness.
  • Disfigurement.
  • Respiratory, digestive, and neurological disorders.
  • Leukemia, lymphoma, and colon, breast, lung, skin, and other cancers.
  • Increased miscarriages and infertility.
  • Severe congenital malformations and other birth defects.
Iraqi soldiers in protective gear returned to Halabja to study the effectiveness of their weapons and attacks. They divided the city into grids, determining the number and location of the dead and extent of injury. Halabja helped Saddam Hussein gauge the ability of his chemical agents to kill, maim, and terrorize population centers.

Not only did Hussein use “WMD” on Kurds in northern Iraq, the No. 2 man in the Iraqi Air Force wrote a book[2] on how the remaining stores were moved to Syria via converted civilian airliners.[3]

But the bumbler from TX never figured out that this is information the American people needed to get. Nor did he think it was important to find new and inventive ways to combat the bias of the media (like, perhaps, taking over National Public Radio and/or the Public Broadcasting System—two hard-Left media outlets that you pay for).

However, John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, as his Vice Presidential running mate has proven that the populist-semi-panderer from Arizona may have a little more political smarts than George W. The female Pro-Life, pro-Second Amendment “hockey mom”, Miss Alaska runner-up is a political check-mate to Barack Obama’s weak choice of DE Senator and perennial Washington Leftist insider Joe Biden. So much for “change”. So much for “reaching across the aisle”—something neither Biden nor Obama has ever done. Throughout their entire political lives they have been much more dedicated to their Leftist ideals than McCain ever was to the Right.

In fact, when asked by “Evangelical” gameshow host—uh, sorry—I mean “pastor” Rick Warren to give an example of when he “reached across the aisle to get something done”, Obama pathologically re-wrote reality with an ease that made Bill “I did not have ‘sexual relations’ with that woman” Clinton envious. He mentioned how he worked with Senator John McCain, himself, on an ethics reform bill.

Rick Warren, attention pig
John McCain (left), “Yeah baby!”, Barack Hussein Obama (right), “Why am I here??”
and Rick Warren: Attention Pig

There was just one, little problem: it was the very bill that Obama told McCain he would help with, then turned around and screwed him by withdrawing his support at the last minute because his Democrat handlers had schooled him on “co-operation”.[4] And that was his best example for bringing “change” and “leaving politics behind to get things done”??

Look, any time someone says “reach across the aisle”, what they really mean is “Republicans give up their ideology so that the Demon-crats can have their way”. Which is exactly what John McCain has done throughout his not-so-illustrious career. When judges are destroying this country, and one of the few areas we can hope for true progress from George W. (selecting good Federal judges to take the bench), John McCain stepped in to destroy the continuity of Republican solidarity in the Senate on getting W’s selections approved by creating his “gang of 14” (7 Dems and 7 useless Republicans). McCain brokered a “deal” which basically gave a victory to the ideologue Demon-crats for a paltry few judges.[5] How ironic that we have allowed the media to label Obama as the “agent of change” and “getting things done in Washington”. When things “get done in Washington”, you get “done”.

With judges destroying this country by dictating an anti-American, anti-Christian agenda, few agendas could be more important than replacing these legislators in black drag with real, honest magistrates. Again, where the Demon-crats were cagily fighting fang-and-claw to keep “conservative” judges from ever seeing the light of day, it is a disgusting contrast to something like Slick Willie Clinton picking former ACLU (“the American Criminal Liberties Union”) lawyer Ruth Bader-Ginsberg whom only three Republican Senators voted against.[6]

So this being the background, McCain’s pick of Palin is that much more amazing. But, of course, the man is desperate to be president of the United States. He’s willing to do anything to get there, even to finally shore up the ideological base of the party he supposedly represents. But this was only after he floated some trial balloons on picking former PA Governor and ardent pro-abortionist Tom Ridge as well as famed pseudo-maverick Joe Lieberman[7]—a man who, once you get past his support for the “Global War on ‘Terror’” is so Leftist that hard-Left Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he would protect him from losing any of his committees or status because he can always be counted on to vote the Demon-crat line[8] (Lieberman still caucuses with the Demon-crats). What a choice either of those would’ve been: 2 hard-Left Marxist amoral reprobates verses 2 center-Left putzes. The Communist Party vs. the true Democrat Party. Anyone who loves America, wants to keep unborn babies from being shredded in their mother’s wombs or is disgusted by Friday nights in San Francisco would’ve been sh*t out of luck for the next 4 to 8 years.

Fortunately for us (U.S.), McCain was smarter than that. He picked a woman (trumping the whiny feminists on the Left) who, aside from a little twinge of occasional populism, comes across as the most solid politician now no the national scene.

So who is Sarah Palin?

Hutchison & buddyWell, first of all, she’s a career woman who isn’t afraid to take her husband’s name, which is more than I can say for the twice-married Republican Senator from TX, Kay Bailey Hutchison. It is said that McCain also considered her for Veep.[9] As far as I’ve seen, she’s a good Texan in most ways except that she has the same penchant for coddling illegal aliens that her fellow Texan George W. Bush does…and, for that matter, as does John McCain. When the American people were ready to start throwing out politicians over the millions of illegal immigrants who are clogging our hospitals and our schools, many of whom are raping, murdering and killing via DUI, the Secure Fence Act of 2006 was passed. But Steve Elliott from Grassfire.org reported that Hutchison tried to single-handedly emasculate the Act[10] which, given how hard it was for the voters to get through to the illegal-vote-loving Democrats and cheap-labor-exploiting-Republicans, was amazingly treacherous.

But Palin is a much better Republican female.

Evolution & Bean Counting

I have to say there are a few things I’ve matured away from in the “evolution” of my “conservatism” (two words I can’t stand).

I. Two guys that I adore and respect, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, will tell you “leave the ‘market’ alone, it will fix itself”. They have used this basic “conservative” mantra in regards to high gas prices as well as other similar issues. But what they don’t go in to, is that “the market” has a vested interest in destroying competition. That is basically what the Seven Sisters of oil have done.

The Seven Sisters of the petroleum industry is a term coined by an Italian entrepreneur, Enrico Mattei, that refers to seven oil companies that dominated mid 20th century oil production, refining, and distribution.

The Seven Sisters consisted of three companies formed by the break up by the U.S. Government of Standard Oil, along with four other major oil companies. With their dominance of oil production, refinement and distribution, they were able to take advantage of the rapidly increasing demand for oil and turn immense profits.

Being well organized and able to negotiate as a cartel, the Seven Sisters were able to have their way with most Third World oil producers.[11]

Rather than having a large number of oil companies all competing with each other, driving down prices to get your business, we have a select few oil companies cavorting together, setting their own prices disconnected from the needs of the market and basically price gouging until they piss people off enough to stop buying gas. Who else could get away with charging 9/10ths of a penny to further fleece you out of your money?

fuel vs walletYou know there is no real competition when you drive down the street and are shocked if you ever see any difference in price through any of the various gas stations you drive by.

Given that gas is how we earn a living driving to and from our jobs and grocery stores, they have us right where they want us.[12] That’s why, in the midst of unprecedented increases in gas prices—which you would think would be caused by a lack of resources which would mean even the gas producers would be hurting—companies like Exxon-Mobile are blowing the roof off of quarterly domestic profit records.[13]

We need some government intervention. That is a phrase that makes Rush and Mark jump out of their skins but it is obviously true. The problem is that they have seen the types of “intervention” promised from the “intervention specialists”—the Leftist Democrats. The funniest proposal I’ve seen yet was championed by Hillary Rodham Clinton; a “windfall profits tax”. The basic concept is, “The Seven Sisters have gouged the crap out of you over a commodity that your lives depend upon so I’m going to take the money they made off of you and do what I do best with it—keep most of it for myself and redistribute some of it to buy myself more votes.”[14]

Putting aside the fact that such socialistic robbery is the reason America is headed for total economic collapse, do you think this will affect a change that will keep the oil companies from pulling this again in the future? No. What we need is another round of Teddy Roosevelt Trust Bustin’. We need a public servant with ethics who knows how to counter the excesses of a “market” gone bad with a surgical strike of governmental authority (perhaps in breaking large oil companies into smaller ones or something of the kind that address the structural problem of gas price gouging).

Unsung Worker--MachinistII. I’ve also moderated my views on unions after seeing for myself what the average Joe has to deal with at the bottom of the corporate chain. Of course union big-mouths like Jimmy Hoffa Jr. are nothing more than Democrat lackeys, married to the far Left for a single issue[15], but the average blue-collar worker loves his country, likes to hunt and fish (is pro Second Amendment) and usually supports the traditional family—he may even go to church once in a while. But they work for companies that have no loyalty to the people that make their products, the community that they came from or even the country they are in. Such companies would love to see all borders go away and American sovereignty and nationalism be a thing of the past. Again, this is where I depart strongly from the voices of the “Conservative Movement” like Rush and Mark. “NAFTA” is not the direction we need to go in.

The unfortunate part of the problem is that countries like China can treat their children like slaves and force them to flood our markets with cheap (sometimes poisoned[16]) goods so the only way to level the playing field for the American worker is with an international goods tax (called a “tariff”). And I do agree with Limbaugh and Levin that increasing taxes is usually a wet blanket on the economy but that seems to be the only tactic available. Like the problem with gas prices, I don’t know specifics but I do know direction. Unfortunately for me, no one is heading that way for either problem.

III. I’ve also changed my views on “Federalism”. Federalism is best embodied by the 10th Amendment to the Constitution (part of the Bill of Rights)—

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

When the original Constitution was proposed for ratification by the states, many delegates felt that the new central government would become a tyrannical Leviathan and that all roads would eventually lead to Washington D.C. (sadly, that is exactly what has happened) so the father of the Constitution, James Madison, went back to the drawing board and created the Bill of Rights to expressly restrict vital portions of governmental power to allay the fears of the state delegates. Incidentally, that is why the Second Amendment is not about “hunting”, it’s about having the same level of force a government would use, there for you in your own home—protection against a government gone tyrannical. If you’d like to read more on this, go to my column on the Northern Illinois University tragedy here.

kerry's huntin license
John “Vietnam War Hero” Kerry in Iowa shooting birds (or maybe he’s having digestive issues) to convince you that he understands the importance of the Second Amendment.

Federalism is a core part of what “traditional Conservatives” believe in (Levin mentions the concept frequently) because “Conservatives” understand as the Founders understood that human nature is the biggest problem faced by those who want good government. Every restriction you can put on the Central Government should help keep the monster at bay.

But there are 2 problems here: the first is that the 10th Amendment as been almost entirely ignored, and the second has to do with the Judeo/Christian world view. That world view states that “truth” is not relative, but absolute—

Psalm 117
1 Praise the L-RD, all nations;
Laud Him, all peoples!
2 For His Lovingkindness is great toward us,
And the Truth of the L-RD is everlasting.
Praise the L-RD!
NASU

Psalms 119:142-143
142 Your Righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,
And Your Law is truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have come upon me,
Yet Your Commandments are my delight!
NASU

John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
NASU

John 18:37-38
37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I Am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth hears My Voice.”
38 Pilate said to Him, “What is ‘truth’?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, “I find no guilt in Him.”
NASU

If “Truth” and good government are right at the national level, then they’re right at the local, too. If Lawton, OK has an ordinance that forbids dog owners from tying their animals up to trees and leaving them there 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year (requiring instead that they have a fence, food, water and shelter), is it not good enough for the rest of the country? The number of issues or needs that are truly community-specific are really negligible.

Of course the problem arises when bad government is forced from the national level to the local, like hard-Left perverts in MA and CA saying that two men who fulfill each other with anal intercourse can be legitimized by the Divine Sacrament of marriage.

But rather than trying to compartmentalize these aberrations with “federalism,” the solution is to have G-dly men and women represent you in Washington so that good laws can be enacted for all.

14 wk ''fetus''I will use Mark Levin as an example again, not because I disagree with him, but because I listen to him very frequently and can reference the one or two issues where I part with him. He frequently cites Roe v. Wade as “bad law”—which it is—and that it should be reversed on that basis, again allowing the states to decide the legality of abortion.

But is that what we want? If you understand what happens to a baby during an abortion, you will probably not be able to sleep even if abortions are only happening in 30 states rather than 50 (or, in Barack Obama’s reality, 57 plus two more).

What we need are G-dly laws enforced everywhere.

IV. But to bring this full circle, the selection of Sarah Palin has made me really reconsider the usefulness of what has traditionally been called “bean counting”.

At least in politics.

“Bean counting” is the process by which factors like race and gender affect the decision you make to fill a position. I have been shocked at the energy Sarah Palin has brought out of American women. Yes, there are other people out there who could’ve been a great V.P. choice for McCain and you may even make the case that they are better qualified, but it’s hard to qualify identification that so many women will have when they look at her and say, “Yes! There is a woman out there who looks and sounds just like me! She loves her country, her heritage, her husband and her family, she’s a mom and a wife and now she may become the next Vice President of the United States!”

Make no mistake, there are differences in the genders. That’s why I do not think that women in a patrol car, in a fire truck or a fighter jet are a good idea. Anyone who isn’t thoroughly biased by their own personal agenda will admit that men and women are different in both their physical and psychological make-ups and, therefore, there are some things that men are better suited for and vice versa. Being a symbol of enforcement and authority is better suited for men. Having the strength and training to back up the enforcement is better suited to men. That means, whereas a woman can be an outstanding detective, she may get her ass beat trying to break up a bar fight. Or whereas a woman may be able to adequately dispatch or manage logistical convoys, she may get raped and brutalized if she puts on a uniform and drives a 5-ton into combat, then gets captured because modern warfare has no “front line”—as was the case of Jessica Lynch. The media and the Department of Defense tried to play her story off as a proud example of a woman “fighting to the death” suffering both bullet and knife wounds[17] (go to the footnote and look at the headline, I didn’t make it up) and later being rescued but the truth is much more stomach-turning.[18] She was yanked from her truck like a rag-doll, tortured and violated and it was only through the intervention of a sympathetic Iraqi that she’s alive today. The rest of the soldiers in her convoy were executed—including another female, Lori Piestewa.

LORI PIESTEWA/JESSICA LYNCH
Lynch and Piestewa before their social-engineering-induced tragedy.

Or take the tragedy of Kara Hultgreen—the woman who was to be the first Navy fighter pilot. The only problem was that she wasn’t qualified. But that didn’t stop the social engineers in the Navy, they simply re-wrote the standards and kept Hultgreen in flightschool long after any male counterpart scoring the same would’ve been sent packing.[19]

The result? Kara Hultgreen died in her first real carrier landing.

Kara Hultgreen lost her life in a routine carrier landing

In a world of true accountability, everyone in Hultgreen’s chain-of-command from the moment she set foot in Pensacola would either be up on charges or fired (including the gigolo-in-chief at the time, Slick-Willie Clinton). Of course, that didn’t happen and we still have women flying fighter planes in the United States military. God help the men in the air and the men on the ground that may suffer as a result of such a policy.

But Sarah Palin is an entirely different story. Of course, as a leader, you need someone who is assertive and even aggressive when necessary and those traits aren’t usually feminine—unless you’re someone like…oh maybe like PMS-NBC’s newest anchor-person, Rachel Maddow. You see, PMS-NBC wasn’t hard Left enough for NBC CEO Jeff Zucker with the likes of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, they had to get rid of moderate Dan Abrams and go for the chick who tried to audition for a part in 300.

Maddcow

300
I’m not one to make fun of someone based upon appearance, but holy crap!

Maddow lost her job when the joke of an attempt at Leftist talk radio—”Air America” (also known as “CAIR America”)—went tits…um, I mean “belly up”.

But Palin is a product of Alaskan rugged individualism. Contrast her with the feminist icon Hillary Rodham Clinton: Palin started humbly by getting involved with the PTA at her kids’ school, from there she became the mayor of her home town and beyond that, she ran against an incumbent Republican and beat a tough Democrat to become the governor of the state of Alaska and she’s been in charge there for over 2 years (a responsibility that includes such authorities as sending the Alaska National Guard to Louisiana to help fellow Republican governor Bobby Jindal cope with hurricane “Gustov”).

On the other hand, Hillary Rodham married a guy who became governor and then president. She responded to his repeated humiliating infidelities, not by dumping him, but by attacking the women he molested and fornicated with. Truly, a match made in hell.

And let me remind you again, Sarah Heath proudly keeps the name of her husband Todd Palin, even though her public status far out-reached his.

___________________

michael savageNow, being that this is my forum, and that the vast majority of correspondence I’ve sent out to people and web sites have been entirely ignored (with a very few wonderful exceptions like Ben Stein), I am going to take a moment to address someone who is absolutely impossible to get a personal response from; radio talk-show host Michael “Savage”. Now “Savage” has done a lot of good for our side of the Culture War and has occasionally been the only voice speaking out on what’s best for the country, but he has come out scornfully against the Palin pick because McCain is obviously pandering to women and because of Palin’s “inexperience”.

“Inexperience”. Like that of Abraham Lincoln who was a 1-term Congressman before becoming one of the most important presidents in American history.

But as I’ve already shown, picking someone who is of a particular race or gender and who is also very well qualified, is actually a necessary part of inspiring other Americans that they, too, can be successful in a similar way. Yes, a young boy with dark skin who loves America and has solid values and a good work ethic can become a Supreme Court Justice like the eminent Clarence Thomas. Yes a young girl can become a fulfilled wife and mother and still aspire to hold political office, perhaps as high as Vice President of the United States (and maybe even higher).

And she doesn’t have to be a bitter, hate-filled woman who despises the very country and its values she says she wants to serve, as do so many women on the Left and in the Democrat Party (same damn thing).

But I will tell you, in spite of how much I have enjoyed this talkshow host, he couldn’t have turned me off more nor upset me more quickly with his vicious mocking of this Christian woman. At one point he played clips from a speech Palin made in June of 2008 at her home church in Wasilla to students graduating from their “The Master’s Commission” program. Excerpts like this, the Jewish host (whose real name is “Michael Weiner”) found outrageously simple-minded and beneath the office of Vice President—

I can do my part in doing things like working really really hard to get a natural gas pipeline, about a $30 billion project that’s going to create a lot of jobs for Alaskans, and we’ll have a lot of energy flowing through here. And pray about that also. I think God’s Will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that…my oldest, my son Track, he’s a soldier in the United States Army now. He’s an infantryman, and, so Track also sends his love to his former nanny Christy. And Track — pray for our military. He’s going to be deployed in September to Iraq. Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right also for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending out on a task that is from God. That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s Plan.

Why is Michael Weiner a.k.a. “Michael Savage” attacking the best hope the movement he represents has in national government?

First, he doesn’t appreciate the movement of the Holy Spirit because he is a Jew who hasn’t accepted Y’shua of Nazareth as the Divine Messiah. Although he is warm towards G-d and will read from the Old Testament on his program, he has a clouded, limited view of G-d’s Truth—

I Corinthians 1:18-29
18 For the Word of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being Saved it is the Power of G-d.
19 For it is written, “I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE.”
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not G-d made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21 For since in the Wisdom of G-d the world through its wisdom did not come to know G-d, G-d was well-pleased through the “foolishness” of the Message preached to save those who believe.
22 For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
24 but to those who are the Called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the Power of G-d and the Wisdom of God.
25 Because the “foolishness” of G-d is wiser than men, and the “weakness” of G-d is stronger than men.
26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;
27 but G-d has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and G-d has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
28 and the base things of the world and the despised G-d has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,
29 so that no man may boast before G-d.
NASU

What other sense could there be in this talkshow host’s senseless attacks? —He may have a disdain for women in power that goes beyond good sense and is truly “sexist”.

All human beings suffer from sins like “sexism” and “racism” in the same way that all human beings are tempted by lust, envy, greed and other base motivations. What makes Christians different is that we use the Bible as a mirror to show us what we are—

Jeremiah 17:9
9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it?”
NASU

Matthew 15:17-20
17 “Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated?
18 But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.
19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.
20 These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
NASU

And all sincere Christians search their motivations with truth and honesty in order to keep what Saint Paul called our “flesh” at bay. I think Weiner has trouble discerning between the anger we should justly have against Leftist gender equivocation (“there are no differences between men and women”) and the fleshly antagonism men and women feel against each other, placed in our natures at the Fall—

Genesis 3:16
16 To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply
Your pain in childbirth,
In pain you will bring forth children;
Yet your desire will be for your husband,
And he will rule over you.”
NASU

It was at the Fall that the perfect dynamic between husband and wife was tainted.

But we on the Right need to work against these failed policies without harboring ill towards the actual women caught up in them.

I feel very passionately that women have no place in the military at any level but I have had the privilege of working with some really wonderful women who are or have served their country in uniform.

Placing women in authority should be something G-d-fearing people do with circumspection—

I Corinthians 11:1-12
1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.
2 Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you.
3 But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and G-d is the Head of Christ.
4 Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head.
5 But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for she is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved.
6 For if a woman does not cover her head, let her also have her hair cut off; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her cover her head.
7 For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the Image and Glory of G-d; but the woman is the glory of man.
8 For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man;
9 for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake.
10 Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11 However, in the L-rd, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
12 For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from G-d.
NASU

But G-d-fearing people also need to be wise and ruthless in waging the Culture War because our enemies sure are!

It was asinine stupidity that made whole groups of Christians keep former MA Governor Mitt Romney from winning the Republican nomination because *gasp* he’s a Mormon!

Trust me, I am no friend to the doctrine of Mormonism (read it for yourself, here). But this country is falling apart at the cultural seams. Let’s start rebuilding the foundations of morality with someone who has a warped view of religious Truth as Born Again Christians see it but who is a strong ally in a war where we are overwhelmingly outnumbered and losing!!

Idiots!

When we have a country where pornography, abortion, sex outside of marriage and public homosexuality are either outlawed or controlled, and, rather than evicting Jesus Christ from every classroom and public square we use the Bible to teach our children and meet out justice or make laws with, then we can nit-pick as to whether or not our public officials think Jesus Christ is the spiritual “brother” of satan.

In the mean time, the enemies of G-d are fighting the Culture War with every weapon in their arsenal while we stupidly take perfectly good ones and put them aside for sectarian reasons.

What’s more important? —To keep a woman out of authority on the chance that it is offensive to G-d’s Divine Model or to use a woman to fight against the slaughter of unborn children, to help stop homosexuals from being sanctified as married couples and even adopting children (or lesbians artificially becoming mothers) or to help protect American citizens from being slaughtered by muslims following the “Religion of Peace”? I feel that Sarah Palin will help, in varying degrees, in all of those battles and I am only too pleased to put aside my gender-role ideals to achieve those gains.

No one is perfect, of course. Even Palin became the source of controversy regarding homosexual “rights” when she vetoed a bill that would’ve kept Alaskan homosexual “partners” from receiving health-care benefits their relationships gave them.[20] When you know and understand how hard it is to get a G-dly law sponsored, written, through committees and then finally in front of the executive for signature, this becomes even more upsetting but, again, given the overwhelming good Palin can do for patriotic Christians whispering in the ear of a president McCain, I will easily (but not gladly) but that aside as well.

Michael Weiner (a.k.a. “Michael Savage”)’s inability to not understand this dynamic makes him a fool on this vital issue.

In spite of the extreme controversy concerning Palin’s “inexperience”, it really isn’t the slightest bit consequential.

First of all, her level of experience destroys the resume of the Democrat nominee at the top of their ticket; Barack Hussein Obama. This was attested to in stellar fashion by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich at the Republican National Convention on September 2nd. When confronted by MSNBC reporter Ron Allen (I know, I know—”An MSNBC ‘reporter’ with a Left-leaning agenda?! How can that be?”), Gingrich had this to say:

Allen: To be fair, her resume is not something we’re familiar seeing with presidential candidates. [Who taught this idiot how to speak?]

Gingrich: Well it’s stronger than [Allen tried to interrupt]—it’s stronger than Barack Obama’s! I don’t know why you guys walk around saying this baloney. She has a stronger resume than Obama’s. She’s been a real mayor, he hasn’t. She has been a real governor, he hasn’t. She’s been in charge of the Alaska National Guard, he hasn’t. She is a whistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor, he has never once shown that kind of courage. She is a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and got him fined $12,000. I’ve never seen Obama do one thing like that. She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and beat him and then she beat a former Democratic governor in the general election. I don’t know of a single thing Obama’s done except talk and write, and I’d like you to tell me one thing you think Senator Obama has done.

Allen: Thanks very much, Mr. Speaker, I’m going to leave it there, I’m not going to argue the case, thank you.

It’s hard to “argue the case” when you get beat down like the little Obama-bitch you are, Ron.

Reformer

But there’s something more to Palin’s qualifications; her powerful Christian faith makes her the perfect “reformer”.

America is suffering from a fiscal plight that will someday bring us to a total financial collapse. Over the past several administrations, through both parties being in power, we have amassed an unbelievable 9 trillion dollars of debt.

As of this writing, it looks something like this—

debt

The estimated population of the United States is 304,723,183 so each citizen’s share of this debt is $31,787.20.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $1.93 billion per day since September 28, 2007![21]

How in Heaven’s name could we have accumulated that much debt??

Socialism.

The allure of unearned money coming to citizens via their elected officials is what has gotten politicians in office for stretches of up to 40 years and more. Being a politician has become such a lucrative endeavor that, to date, the House and Senate combined have had almost 80 politicians who had ever “served” or still are “serving” for a minimum of thirty six years.[22]

ancient birdRobert Byrd (D-WV) is approaching an unbelievable fifty six years living off the American taxpayer. You may not know him but, before he began serving the race merchants and hucksters in the Democrat Party (the Party that receives the lion’s share of black votes every election year), Senator Byrd was a member of the Ku Klux Klan and was even elevated to the proud post of “Exalted Cyclops”.[23]

The temptation to buy yourself votes with someone else’s money is so powerful that politicians will spend money they don’t even have. Last year, George W. Bush—our Republican president whose spending habits make the bones of Lyndon Johnson shudder—proposed an unprecedented 3.1 trillion dollar budget.[24]

Of that 3.1 trillion dollars, 482 billion of it will be spent without the revenue to cover it[25], making that Debt Clock spin even faster. If you or I were to continuously spend money we didn’t have, we’d be behind bars.

When you consider the ethics behind spending that much of our and our children’s money, it really calls the vaunted Bush “Christian faith” into question—this is the same “Christian faith” that media Leftists so frantically mocked in an effort to erode public confidence in him.[26] They might not have had much to fret over.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, seems to be very serious about serving Jesus Christ in an honest and forthright manor, starting with fiscal responsibility.

You see, when you believe that everything you do will be watched by an all-knowing, all-seeing Authority, you tend to be a little more “conservative” with other people’s money. The Founding Fathers knew that. That’s why 11 out of the 13 original colonies required that their elected representatives profess a faith in Jesus Christ![27]

Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) wrote a powerful column[28] for the Wall Street Journal regarding the sharp contrast between the two tickets and, in particular, the fiscal histories of B. Hussein and Sarah Palin. There has been some much-racking regarding the Ketchikan-Gravina Island Bridge, also known as the “bridge to nowhere”.

But, of course, it was a bridge to somewhere. It was to be a bridge that connected mainland Alaska to Gravina Island where there is an airport. Currently a ferry connects the two and you can see the need for a bridge especially given the use of the airport—

…Ketchikan’s airport is the second largest in Southeast Alaska…[29]

But now the controversy begins: the bridge would cost almost $400 million and, for a rural state like Alaska it wasn’t getting done without taking money from other states; redistribution of wealth on a state-wide scale (also known as “ear-marking” the Federal Budget). AK Congressmen like Rep. Don Young and Sen. Ted Stevens[30] (now under investigation for corruption) were pushing hard for this and, at first, so was Governor Palin.

But, as Senator DeMint noted,[31] as she began to study the bridge issue specifically and question the earmark process in general, she had a very public change of heart. In a game where the one who brings home the most money, wins, Governor Palin began to work hard against that very thing, putting her career at risk for what she thought was ethically right.

Even the Alaska Democratic Party credits her with killing the bridge.

When the Senate had its chance to stop the Bridge to Nowhere and transfer the money to Katrina rebuilding, Messrs. Obama and Biden voted for the $223 million earmark, siding with the old boys’ club in the Senate. And to date, they still have not publicly renounced their support for the infamous earmark.

Mrs. Palin has proven courageous by taking on big spenders in her own party. In March of this year, the Anchorage Daily News reported that, “Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens is aggravated about what he sees as Gov. Sarah Palin’s antagonism toward the earmarks he uses to steer federal money to the state.”[32]

teddy rooseveltThere’s a little blurb floating around the internet and, unlike 99.8% of the forwards I’ve seen, I like it. It goes something like this:

I’m under 45.

I love the outdoors.

I’m a Republican reformer who has taken on the Republican Party establishment.

I have many children.

I now have a spot on the national ticket as vice president with less than two years in the governor’s office.

—I’m Teddy Roosevelt in 1900.

Now, Sarah Palin isn’t Abraham Lincoln or Teddy Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan, she’s Sarah Palin.

But, somehow, I think that’s more than enough.

The Left Fights No-Holds-Barred, The Right Equivocates Meekly

The Palin pick by McCain was so brilliant (dare I say, “Divinely Inspired”) in contrasting powerfully to the new boy/old boy Leftist machine evidenced by the Obama/Biden ticket that the “objective” media—the public relations arm of the Democrat Party—is frantically looking for anything to smear her with.

When Obama bloggers tried to claim that Palin’s newborn son Trig (born in April of this year with Down Syndrome) was really her 17 year-old daughter’s child, Palin was forced to reveal that Bristol was, herself, 5 months pregnant.[33]

This, of course, began an immediate firestorm of attacks aimed right at Sarah Palin’s “conservative” views and values. Because Palin espouses “abstinence” as the best form of out-of-wedlock “contraception”, the perverts on the Left screamed with shrill voices, “See! Her own daughter needed more ‘sex education’!”[34]

There is a disconnect in that message that commentators on the Left and even the Right are missing: Sarah and Todd Palin (like so many American families) are fighting a losing battle. When your children are bombarded with a culture on television, in their music and—G-d forbid—in their classrooms that encourages illicit, perverse, premarital sex at every turn, you are fighting a losing battle.

Perhaps the best current example of this is MTV’s “Tila Tequila” starring Vietnamese immigrant Tila Nguyen. This from the Media Research Center’s Brent Bozell in a 2007 column:

Her MySpace page featured her self-published rap single, the profane, air-headed “F— Ya Man,” which Time magazine poignantly described this way: “To listen to it is to hear the soundtrack of a million parents’ dreams dying.” … By this time, she had surpassed the milestone of two million online “friends.” It’s not surprising that the next step would be MTV. Viacom naturally came calling, looking for yet another sex-obsessed reality TV series; this one would be called “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.” … The twist in the series is that Miss Tequila is bisexual. As the new MTV star tells it, “They found out about my lifestyle and said, ‘How would you feel about putting it on MTV?’” Viacom thought it was time for America’s youth to watch a bisexual dating show. So the show’s plot called for inviting 16 straight men and 16 lesbians to compete for her physical attention. … In the predictably, painfully tawdry first episode on Oct. 9, one girl contestant announced she was a virgin, to which Tila replied, “My prayer has been answered!” The same woman soon was marching down a runway dressed as a Girl Scout, asking the show’s star: “I’m sweet and innocent. Can I interest you in my cookie?” … Tony DiSanto, MTV’s executive in charge of “series development,” promised the show would be a “rollercoaster ride of drama, conflict and emotion, busting stereotypes and challenging the norm — proving that the rules of attraction are made to be broken.”[35]

tila tequila BABYLON

Not to be outdone, “CW” has “Gossip Girl” — another cultural cesspool of sex and profanity marketed for teens with advertisements like this beauty.

CW's depravity

Not content with just the licentious content, CW found it necessary to add the most extreme blasphemy they could get away with (thanks to today’s fat dumb and happy Christian Church, it was beyond description); “OMFG” is an abbreviation for “Oh My F—ing G-d”.

But what about the “success” of “sex education”? Public school “sex education” is at best a mechanical “this goes here, this does that” completely devoid of morality or talk of physical, psychological, emotional consequences to sex and, at worst a porn fest invitation to “getting it on” that would’ve made the people of Sodom and Gomorrah jealous. Here are some “sex ed” facts to be proud of—

* A March 2008 study found 1 in 4 teens now have a sexually transmitted disease.[36]

* A high school in Deerfield, IL is using a book for English class that explicitly describes violent homosexual sex.[37]

* The “sex ed” curriculum for St. Lucie County, FL includes “how to” lessons for children in 4th grade complete with field trips for buying condoms.[38]

* A MD school board has instituted a curriculum which “teaches homosexuality is innate and provides depictions of ‘erotic’ sex techniques”.[39]

* East High School in Des Moines, IA sponsored a “Gender-Bender Day” during homecoming week in which the students were supposed to basically cross-dress.[40]

* In Portland, ME, if you give your child permission to be treated at the King Student Health Center, that will now include prescription contraceptives for children as young as 8 years old for some Middle Schoolers.[41]

* If you’re worried that your kids are eventually going to need some extra help getting turned on, wait until they get to a college like William & Mary where they took the cross out of historic Wren Chapel[42] so that you won’t feel too convicted when you take credit for watching the “Sex Workers Art Show”, featuring the demonstrating of sex toys, performing of strippers and (for the really curious) question and answer sessions with both male and female prostitutes.[43]

* Again proving that the Left is way more dedicated to their agenda than the Right, the faculty at Duke University—home of the infamous “Duke Lacrosse Rape Case” involving a stripper who charged “rape” at a campus party—brought the “Sex Workers Art Show” to their campus as well. Perhaps because there were 1 or 2 hormone-driven young men who still didn’t know what a prostitute was after seeing their college in the headlines for it over the course of many months and the good board members wanted to straighten that out. The resulting firestorm of outrage did not cancel the “show”.[44]

So which do you think we need more of; “sex education” or a message of abstinence? As radio talkshow host Dennis Prager is fond of saying, “Abstinence works every single time it’s tried.”

In a statement released by the McCain/Palin campaign, it was revealed that Bristol will not abort her child and that the father of her child will soon marry her.

It was not mentioned if either of Bristol’s marksman parents had any influence over the young man’s decision.

yeah you!But bringing a child with Down Syndrome to term is, of itself, a small miracle seeing as how a sickening ninety-five percent of Down babies around the world are slaughtered in the womb.[45]

Add the Bristol Palin pregnancy being taken to term (in strong contrast to so many other teenage girls who kill their unborn children because of the shock a baby would bring to their lives) and the Palin family isn’t just “spouting” a “Pro Life” message, they’re living it.

Barack Obama, after gallantly claiming the Bristol pregnancy was “off limits” (while his minions viciously pounded that very subject), finally began to show his true colors in desperation while campaigning in Lebanon, VA. Seeing his chances at ultimate stardom and power being pulled away by this upstart redneck of a woman, he likened her to a “pig” and perhaps even a “stinky fish”[46] (although that one could’ve been meant for John McCain).

The context is that less than a week before this outrage was the Republican National Convention where the nation “met” Sarah Palin.

I have to say that she did extraordinarily well, given what you would think was a small-town/small-state background now abruptly thrown onto the national scene. She delivered some great one-liners to the audience (who stood for 3 minutes and 13 seconds on their feet applauding her before she could even begin). She made reference to little Trig having Down Syndrome and how she would be a friend in the White House to parents with similarly challenged children. She also took time to brag on her husband. How about that for a career woman?

Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska…(APPLAUSE)… I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involved.

(APPLAUSE)

I guess — I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities.

(APPLAUSE)

I might add that, in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they’re listening and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening.

(APPLAUSE)

No, we tend to prefer candidates who don’t talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.[47][48]

But she also got a big laugh with this—

I had the privilege of living most of my life in a small town. I was just your average hockey mom and signed up for the PTA.

(APPLAUSE)

I love those hockey moms. You know, they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick.[49]

Her speaking ability (part of her “experience”) was even more amazing given that the teleprompter she was using wasn’t working right and that last line was entirely improvised.[50]

It was the “lipstick” line that was on the minds of Barry’s wonderful audience in Lebanon, which is why I’m not buying the line that he didn’t know what he was doing. He made several pauses through his extremely painful “speech” that were obviously designed to play off of the reaction the audience gave him.

Just in cast YouTube takes down this video (YouTube—now owned by hard-Left-driven Google—seems to be having some problems keeping up feeds that help Christian conservatives, here is the transcript[51])—

John McCain says he’s about change too. Exce- and and so I guess his whole angle is — watch out, George Bush — except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policih, education policih, foreign policih, and Karl-Rove-style politics, we’re really gonna shake things up in Washington.

That’s not change.

That’s that’s just callin’ sumpin’ the same thing somethin’ different.

But you know, you can’t, you know, you you can put, ah, lipstick on a pig…it’s still a pig.

You know you can ah…you know you can ah, you-you-you-you can wrap an old fish in a in a piece of paper called “change” iss’ still gonna stink.

wounded marine awaits evacuation on iwo feb 1945

A wounded Marine awaits evacuation from the island hell of Iwo Jima, February, 1945.

Wow. Now I’ve seen some pretty harsh stuff aimed at the likes of Roseanne Barr from “the Right”. Why? Oh, because some moron asked her to sing our sacred national anthem at Jack Murphy Stadium in July of 1990 for a baseball game—the anthem that signifies over 200 years of blood and sacrifice.

Through which, she thought it would be funny to screech in mockery, then, at the end, give thanks for her millions of dollars in Hollywood income and notoriety by grabbing her crotch and spitting as she walked away.

Now, it’s never excusable to viciously attack someone’s looks when they have little control over what made them that way (other than an amazing lack of self control in eating habits and exercise). But I think you may be able to cut her critics a little slack if you contrast what she did with how precious our anthem and our flag is to those of us that love this great nation.

So what was Sarah Palin’s crime? Why did she deserve to be called a “pig” by United States Senator Barack Hussein Obama?

—Because she had the temerity to stand in between him and the most powerful position in the world.

It seemed that, with the selection of Sarah Palin becoming an instant hit—not just with Republicans disenchanted by a broken primary process—but with coveted independent voters as well, the media has become as unhinged and vicious as the Obama campaign.

Education and media propaganda aside, the Left is the home of true racism and sexism. As National Review Institute President Kate O’Beirne put it during the Family Research Council Values Voter Summit on the 12th of September 2008, the feminist institution has been given the green light to media misogynists for letting it all hang out at Palin’s expense (because she should have the temerity to endanger the slaughter of unborn children with her courageous life choices—no pun intended).

Two amazingly disgusting examples are when CNN (the Caliphate News Network)’s John Roberts questioned Palin’s ability to care for Trig, the Palin family’s latest addition who suffers from Down Syndrome—

There’s also this issue that on April 18th, she gave birth to a baby with Down’s Syndrome … Children with Down’s Syndrome require an awful lot of attention. The role of Vice President, it seems to me, would take up an awful lot of her time, and it raises the issue of how much time will she have to dedicate to her newborn child?[52]

Or when MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell (career woman and mother of 3) made a point of questioning Palin’s over-all motherhood in contrast to the prospect of her making it—God forbid!—to the Vice Presidency:

Congresswoman [career woman Cathy McMorris-Rogers (R-WA)], what about the argument that, you know, vice president is a tough job, and that having a four month old baby, who has Down’s Syndrome, that will have special needs, requires extra time, that, that she should be focusing on her four month old, that some people have said that, fairly or unfairly. What do you think of that?[53]

Although “McMorris-Rogers” defended Governor Palin’s ability to mother and lead at the same time, she still wants everyone to know her marriage is a “co-operative” that includes her maiden name.

I could list page after page Leftist women who have never been asked these questions, why bother? You either get this without the list, or you wouldn’t get it even with the list.

It’s only going to get worse from here. The closer Palin (and McCain, unfortunately) get to the White House, the more vicious Obama and his PR team—all of the mainstream media—are going to get with their tactics.

But if she makes it, will we see her someday achieve an even higher ceiling shattering?

If so many women out there (like so many black Americans) need to see someone who matches their gender become Vice President or President, I’d much rather not have to sacrifice the existence of my palin m4beloved nation to do it—because that is exactly what I would have to give up in order to allow Barack Hussein Obama to become our first black president.

But, from what I’ve seen of Sarah Palin so far, her becoming Vice President or better probably wouldn’t put me out very much at all.

Vladimir Putin might not like it, though.
