The story of Patrick Daniel Tillman is well known to America; how he had been a first-string Safety for the Arizona Cardinals1 and turned down a multi-million dollar contract extension in order to enlist in the Army and fight the “Global War on Terror”.

Although Tillman wanted to go to Afghanistan and find CIA asset Osama bin Laden (who claimed he had nothing to do with 9/11), he was instead sent to Iraq where he witnessed indiscriminate bombing of civilians that angered him against the “War on Terror”.

* Osama bin Laden was also on the FBI payroll.
* Supposedly the FBI’s bin Laden “contact” was able to thwart an attack on a Los Angeles Masonic Lodge, but was unable to prevent 9/11.
* A specially-chartered Bush Administration aircraft quietly and secretly ushered over two dozen bin Laden family members and their entourage safely back to Saudi Arabia a week after 9/11. Although the information was released by perennial far-Left New Jersey Democrat Senator Frank Lautenberg, despite its sensational nature, he thought it best not to push the issue.
* Although bin Laden nephew Omar was suspected of being a terrorist operative, the FBI directly escorted him from America to Saudi Arabia.2

Also shortly after 9/11, American citizen and reputed al Qaeda leader Anwar al Awlaki was reported to have visited the Pentagon.

The Scimitar is being wielded against Americans by the Company at Langley under the Company of Loyola. The CIA is attacking the enemies of Rome.

In Christian, Conservative Oklahoma City, an ex-convict calling himself “Jah’Keem Yisrael”, was released from prison early (where he became a proselyte of the “Religion of Peace”). His real name was Alton Nolen and he cut off the head of 50 year old grandmother Colleen Hufford where the two worked at Vaughn Foods.1745

As Jah’Keem Yisrael was in the process of attempting to behead a second victim, Vaughn CEO Mark Vaughn grabbed his privately-owned firearm and wounded the killer.1746

It is, after all, Oklahoma.

The Federal Bureau of Obfuscation was quick to state that, just like the slaughter of 14 soldiers and civilians at Fort Hood by a man who shouted “Allhu Akbar!” with each pull of the trigger1747, Jah’Keem Yisrael’s jihad was not an act of “terrorism”.1748

The fact that United States Army Major Nidal Hasan was in frequent communication with senior al Qaeda recruiter Anwar al-Awlaki did not make headlines. They were both closely monitored by the FBI but agents “dropped the ball” yet again and Americans died because of the “miscue”.

Last Thursday, as the jury in the trial of Nidal Hasan was deliberating, outgoing FBI Director Robert Mueller appeared on CBS News and discussed a string of emails between the Fort Hood shooter and Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical Islamic cleric with ties to the 9/11 hijackers. The FBI had intercepted the messages starting almost a year before Hasan’s 2009 shooting rampage, and Mueller was asked whether “the bureau dropped the ball” by failing to act on this information. He didn’t blink: “No, I think, given the context of the discussions and the situation that the agents and the analysts were looking at, they took appropriate steps.” ~ Mariah Blake, Mother Jones1749

Few people knew that Anwar al-Awlaki was an American, born in New Mexico, who had a mosque very conveniently located in Falls Church, Virginia, just a few minutes from Washington, DC, the Pentagon or CIA Headquarters.1750

In fact, al-Awlaki had dinner at the Pentagon just 2 weeks after 9/11.1751

Barack Obama reportedly killed al Awlaki with a drone strike in Yemen because, according to him, “drones make me a good killer1752”.

Al-Awlaki was a “terrorist”, therefore he was an American citizen easily executed without due process.

The precedent needed to be set, lest tyranny not follow the “Rule of Law”.

It was first reported in January of last year that the Obama administration had compiled a hit list of American citizens whom the President had ordered assassinated without any due process, and one of those Americans was Anwar al-Awlaki. No effort was made to indict him for any crimes (despite a report last October that the Obama administration was “considering” indicting him). Despite substantial doubt among Yemen experts about whether he even had any operational role in Al Qaeda, no evidence (as opposed to unverified government accusations) was presented of his guilt. When Awlaki’s father sought a court order barring Obama from killing his son, the DOJ argued, among other things, that such decisions were “state secrets” and thus beyond the scrutiny of the courts. He was simply ordered killed by the President: his judge, jury and executioner. When Awlaki’s inclusion on President Obama’s hit list was confirmed, The New York Times noted that “it is extremely rare, if not unprecedented, for an American to be approved for targeted killing.” ~ Glenn Greenwald, Salon1753

Given that this occurred without any supervision or video evidence, al-Awlaki the CIA lackey may very well be basking away in the Maui sun as Grab’ir Boubii, the wealthy, retired owner of a chain of convenience stores.

Either way, Americans lose. ~ Illuminati Unmasked 3

Unfortunately, Pat Tillman was a thinker who maintained a 3.85 at Arizona State. He became obsessed with the work of University of Arizona Professor Noam Chomsky. He reached out to the historian and had plans to meet with him even though his then-current tour in the 75th Rangers had finally brought him to Afghanistan in 2004.

Chomsky is well-known as a far-Left Jew but what isn’t well known is that he received his inspiration (and notoriety) from the Catholic Church 4 through clergy such as El Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero and Jesuit priest Daniel Berrigan.5

This would be the motive for his murder. Pat Tillman was a fantastic riches-to-Rangers story for recruiters to fuel the “Global War on Terror”. A vocal, anti-war Tillman would’ve cost the “military/industrial complex” billions.

His body armor protected him from rounds to his torso, but after being wounded in the wrist, his executors made absolutely sure, Kennedy-style, and he was brutally shot at point-blank range by a three-round burst of a NATO 5.56-caliber weapon into his forehead.

Unfortunately, Tillman was a very vocal atheist 6 who, when attacked by fellow Rangers, told his comrade, “God’s not going to help you”.

However, Tillman’s mother, Mary (divorced from Patrick, Senior) has found solace in returning to her Irish Catholic roots and now helps organize funerals and counsels the grieving at an un-named Catholic funeral home and cemetery.

“Christian officer!”

I was so distracted by the heat and bustle of rushing through to get my lunch and get out of the “Dining Facility” that the voice directed at me took me by surprise.

I turned to see a young black soldier with clear, intuitive eyes and a warm smile confronting me. He was wearing his “PT” uniform so I had no name tape to reference. I swear I never saw him before!

He must’ve sensed my lack of recognition because he quickly offered, “We met in Kuwait, sir.”

Still nothing, but I was already smiling at his friendly nature, “Of course. How the heck are you?”

“I’m doing well, sir. I’m IRR—” [“Individual Ready Reserve”, these poor kids were already done with the military but still had a couple of years in their contract from which to get yanked out of their civilian comfort for “needs of the Army”] “—and we’ve got about 2 months left. How about you, sir?”

“I’m a puppet on a string,” I said, somewhat exasperated. “I’ve been through 5 jobs and as many living arrangements. While I was down at Liberty, I got attached to a mascot there and my wife and I put a lot of effort into having an NGO charity called ‘Baghdad Pups’—”

“—Yes sir. You told me about them.”

Hmm. Don’t remember that, either. Damn I’m getting old.

I smiled. “She’s flying home as we speak…”

_____________

If I were to ask you, what is the next Bible verse after, “And God saw that it was not good for man to be alone,”? Would you say that it was when He created Eve? If so, you would be wrong.

Did you know that it says in the Book of Genesis that, after God created man and noticed that man needed companionship, He made the animal kingdom?

And then bonded them to Adam by bringing each animal before him so that Adam could name them.

Only then did God decide to take Adam’s companionship to the next level by making him a companion that was truly “bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh”.

So was the animal kingdom a failure? Far from it! Each animal served a vital role in the emotional development of Adam. After all, they pleased God when He created them.

If you lingered long in your Bible, you might also come across a passage that tells you the Essence of His Nature is love, and He wants you to share it.

Not “love” the way Hollywood wants you to believe, but love the way the Cross shows us. It’s a love of pain and sacrifice. It is most certainly not just a “nice feeling”. It is a conscious decision to give to and for the object of your love. Feelings come and go. “Commitment” is a choice.

Another important part of True Love? —Responsibility.

Responsibility is what drives the sacrifice (none of this , by the way, is part of human nature…it’s all learned).

If you’re a classic movie buff like me, you might recall a film called The Magnificent Seven starring Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn and James Coburn. If you haven’t seen it, you need to.

6 guns-for-hire (and one young local wanna-be) go down to a Mexican border town in an effort to help them ward off a band of brigands that regularly rob them.

There is a scene where Bronson’s character is spending time with 3 Mexican boys, discussing the realities of life as a poor rural farmer verses the glamour of being a gun-fighter. The dialogue is some of the best of any movie;

Boy: Our fathers are cowards.

[Bronson takes the boy over his knee and spanks him.]

Bronson as “Bernardo O’Reilly”: Don’t ever say that again about your fathers. They are not cowards! You think I am brave because I carry a gun? Your fathers are much braver because they carry responsibility. For you, your brothers, your sisters and your mothers. This responsibility is like a big rock that weighs a ton. It bends and it twists them until finally it buries them into the ground. Nobody says they have to do it. They do it because they love you and because they want to. I have never had this kind of courage. Running a farm, working like a mule, with no guarantee what will become of it – this is bravery. That’s why I never even started anything like that. That’s why I never will.

* * *

Responsibility can do crazy things to you. It can make you leave loved ones behind…

I was drained and depressed. Yet another obnoxious ride-along mission had just ended for me. Sitting in an “MRAP” (basically an armored truck), supposedly learning the fine art of running “DCLiPs” (“Deliberate Combat Logistic Patrol”—as opposed to the “Ambiguous Combat Logistics Patrol”).

The only problem was, I—like all other passengers—always sat in the rear of the vehicle (instead of the vehicle commander’s seat where I could actually learn something), looking out on the desolate, dark Iraqi countryside, bored, uncomfortable and wondering why I was there.

I walked in to the TOC (“Tactical Operations Center”) and walked out of the TOC. Screw the briefings. Screw the paperwork. I’m done for the night…morning…whatever.

As I walked across the deck outside the TOC and towards the opening in the wall that surrounded the building, I made out in the dark, sitting on the gravel, a small brown ball of fur. It wasn’t moving or scurrying off. It just sat there.

Then I realized it was a cat and it was looking at me. Such a tame animal was unusual, even for the “FOB” (“Forward Operating Base”). I had heard about the company mascot. I had heard that it was a cat that had a scarred-up face. But, at that point, I didn’t care. I was so drained, I was so homesick, I was so terribly missing my own wonderful pets that I stopped, stooped over and tried to pick her up.

She was completely content.

I walked her back to my room and she immediately made herself at home.

Of course there was no way for me to try to keep her the way I was accustomed to keeping cats; completely indoors, completely isolated from the dangers and insecurities of outside.

I got her some water and some jerky and tried to unwind for 2 or 3 hours of sleep before my next mission with a different company.

Before I went to sleep, I realized she was curled up next to me on the bed.

The next morning I knew I had to let her out, and, with some sadness, I did.

But as the days and missions continued, I was sorry that I hadn’t tried harder to hang on to her. Maybe I could get something that would qualify as litter. Maybe she would take to it. It really bothered me that such a sweet-natured cat was out loose. For every soldier that went out of their way to show compassion to her, there almost certainly was one who kicked at her or threw something at her. I had never seen it (which wouldn’t have been good for that soldier’s health or my career), but I had heard it was being done. There had to have been other animal threats as well. I didn’t even want to think about the terrible injury to her face.

There had to have been hungry nights.

If there’s one issue that always gets the best of me, it’s that I can’t turn my back on a dependant animal. My poor wife can attest to that…as can any of our 4 dogs or our 5 cats.

But I couldn’t find her.

The Will of God. It’s a lot better that way. Maybe I could forget about her. Maybe I could go to sleep each night and distract myself with hoping her dependence and vulnerability wasn’t going to undo her.

And then the roof caved in…again. I would be changing jobs…again. Moving…again. Leaving FOB Liberty and going to a different FOB…again. What in the name of all that’s holy ever made me leave the assh-les in active duty to get yanked around by the assh-les in the National Guard?!

There had to be a way to get word to the bastard in charge that I had missions to run, that moving me again was neither good for the battalion, the company or me, personally. I had to find a way to tell him because the arrogant ass never bothered to ask me.

I tried sending e-mails. I tried talking to company-level personnel. Nothing was working. How could it possibly be God’s Will to constantly uproot me and keep me in a perpetual state of depression and instability?

It was time to get out the big guns; it was time to go to the battalion commander.

So I made my way to the BN TOC, slowly treading through the obnoxious, sinking gravel as I walked.

I rounded a row of Strykers to the opening in the wall before the TOC door, and sitting on the waist-high wall, was my buddy. She was just chilling on the wall, right by the opening, as if someone had put her there.

I looked at her, looked at the BN TOC door, gently picked her up and walked away.

Now what did I get in to?! There was no way that it was God’s Will to get me further attached to Camp Liberty, only to make me leave and to keep me depressed and unstable. I was going to make a breakthrough, stay at Liberty and, somehow, take this cat back home with me.

Days went by. I got better and better at taking care of the fur ball, keeping her indoors and keeping her happy. At first I gave her a box with dirt in it to go to the bathroom and she did! Then, I was inspired; in asking around for help I came upon the idea of grabbing some “dry-sweep” from the mechanics. It was clay-based just like litter and should absorb her refuse very well. It even looked like liter. I borrowed the company SUV and almost gave up on it before coming across some guys from a completely different Division who hooked me up.

I was so pleased that it was all coming together…until I was given a fly-out date of 7 days.

Was God trying to purposely rip my heart out? Why was He doing this to me? This trial seemed tailor made to be the most painful thing I could experience; being forced to leave a dependant animal to the cruelty of the unknown.

It’s an unknown that is especially cruel in Iraq.

I frantically scrambled for help. The battalion chaplain was sympathetic, but the Army had very strict regulations against keeping pets. He said he couldn’t do the wrong thing and keep her for me.

Wow. That was upsetting. I was hoping for more from him, even if there were regulations in the way. I explained to him that love was something worth taking negative consequences for. He didn’t seem swayed.

Time was running out and my depression was in danger of turning to despair and making me useless as a soldier. I can’t explain why I became fixated on rescuing that cat, or why I equated success or failure as reflecting upon me as a person. I just did.

Maybe there was a soldier who could take her in for me while my wife and I tried to get her out. There were only a few in the TOC that I could trust.

It was a short list and, after the first 2 strikes I was about to lose it.

And then I ran into a female E5 who knew the cat very well, and offered to take care of her, herself. We just had to convince her excessively obnoxious, callous, priss room-mate that doing me this illegal favor was going to be temporary and not a big deal at all.

In the mean time, my wonderful wife was able to connect with our charity. They were up for the pick-up. All I had to do was wait…a month.

And pay a thousand dollars.

Was this “love” or lunacy?

I looked at the animal curled up in my room, with her scarred little face, and wrote the e-mail to my wife without a second thought, “Pay it.”

But the E5’s room-mate was another story. I turned everything over to them both; all the food I had for her, all the dry-sweep and even some boot lace toys. But I left them with a sinking feeling in my heart. How could they possibly last a month?!

To add to my angst, my week turned in to mere hours as my “flight” out became a Stryker convoy. No time left. I grabbed my things and endured the obnoxious, cloistered voyage.

As the month at the new FOB wore on, it was hard not to obsess. I didn’t have her in my room, I should’ve been able to shrug off any failures.

But I still couldn’t stop thinking about her plight and praying for an against-the-odds rescue.

How could it happen when I left her at another location in Iraq, with people who couldn’t possibly care as much as I did? How could it all come together when everyone had wartime jobs to do but needed to make a momentary connection with our charity? How could we get the cat to Baghdad International? No one on the coalition side moved anywhere without a convoy. How the hell could I get a convoy for an illegal pet? The post vet was an excessive dick when I asked him if he could help me get the cat her shots—thanks to Army regulations.

Basically, the assh-les who wrote the regs expected soldiers to be oblivious towards the thousands of pitiful animals all over Iraq. F—k them. F—k all bureaucrats. F—k all politicians. F—k all officers.

Then, I found out that the E5’s room-mate destroyed the arrangement I had made, and my cat was back to roaming loose around the FOB.

Well…I guess that was it. My failure was complete.

There was no way this was going to work. The date for the pick-up was going to pass and I was going to obsess over my loss. It was going to be a long, torturous deployment.

And the “good news” didn’t stop coming in. I found out from some Joes who knew my E5 that she had crawled up underneath the TOC where no one could get to her and had a litter of kittens. But that the noise stopped and it was feared none of the kittens survived. My wife had kept it from me in our e-mail traffic but, oddly, I found out anyway.

To anyone else, this was just one of those things.

I was dying inside. If there was ever an animal that needed to be rescued, and guaranteed a better life, she was it.

There was no way it could come together.

A little too little and a lot too late, I found out that our charity was going to help us with the transportation and hire a security team. Maybe, just maybe, if we could make the link-up, we could get her out.

So we set a date and hoped that our connection could somehow find the cat and keep her long enough to get picked up.

And then I found out that my E5 was being hounded by an investigation that alleged she had committed adultery. My sense was, she was a good person who was being framed. But of all the frigging people to have this happen to. Why her? Why now? Could this get any worse?

Suddenly, we were 48 hours out. The time had gone more quickly than I expected. Insomnia was beating me down. It was going to take a miracle. She could be anywhere roaming the FOB and it wasn’t me looking for her.

And then my wife got a-hold of the E5.

24 hours out.

And then the E5 found her. She found her. Was it possible? How would she be able to keep her until the rendezvous?

Then the chaplain suddenly stepped forward; they would put her in a box and he would hang on to her for the final few hours.

E-mails.

Phone calls (with a near-useless Iraqi cell phone).

Text messages.

Chaplain. Charity. Cohort. Companion.

Rendezvous’ time tweaked.

Chaplain standing by.

They have her. Wait. She’s still there. What’s going on?

My E5 shows up. I call on the gov’t phone. The security team is there. Where’s the paperwork? F—K THE PAPERWORK. TAKE THE CAT. You’ll get the paperwork at the airport.

They got her.

They got her.

Did it really happen?

Still another 2 link-ups to go.

Would she survive the confinement and the long, 2-layover trip?

Link up with our charity!

Plan with the wife a five hour drive to Washington D.C.

Tell the wife how special she is.

Washington D.C. Reagan International. How poetic.

Will the last link-up actually happen?

I don’t believe in “fate”. I’m a religious guy. I think that God is out there…and watching…and intervening.

______________

Compassion is what sets us apart as Americans. Sacrificial love—love that can’t eat or sleep until they know their loved one lacks for nothing—is the mark of the morally mature.

In spite of all the negative crap the Left throws out about how we have no business being in Iraq, examples of this kind of deep, selfless love are being communicated to Iraqis—as foreign and astounding as it is to them—and making a difference.

As I wound my way through the crowded D-FAC, I looked for the door to get back out into the hot Iraqi day. By the door was a female soldier at work, who knew me. Working for the support battalion that owned the D-FAC, she knew I would stop and talk to her as I do everyone that works there.

“What are you smiling about, sir? That’s not like you.”

Sorry. I hate Iraq.

“That cat I told you about?” I said.

“Yes,” she responded.

“My wife’s driving as we speak to meet her at the airport.”

She brightened, “That’s great sir! What are you calling her?”

I looked at her and paused. An emotional smile played across my lips as I said…

“Liberty.”

Once you have to rely on the military for entertainment after leaving the States, you get…the “Armed Forces Network”. If you want TV, whether in an office or the gym or the “chow hall”, it’s AFN or it’s nothing.

AFN is like the BBC from 30 years ago.

In fact, it reminds me of an old Monty Python skit (forgive me if I muff it);

Eric Idle is sitting at a news desk and he says in matter-of-fact news monotone, “On BBC1, the minister of waste disposal discusses new techniques for disposing of waste. On BBC2, me telling you this.”

The people that run AFN seem to have come from the same fine media school that brought us CNN’s Anderson Cooper. Cooper has been lauded as the best of “objective news” but, recently, he came out of the closet when reporting on the grassroots counter tax/big government “Tea Party” protests. His “objective coverage” included a vile homosexual reference in regard towards the participants. Wonderful, objective CNN.

CNN is part of the news “balance” in AFN programming.

On AFN’s one news channel, soldiers are subjected to an alternating between CNN and the more centrist, sometimes Right-leaning “FoxNews”.

But we aren’t just subjected to CNN. We are also treated to the subversive tirades of MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. Olbermann’s hard-Left bias is so bad, tracking him may require a special task force of the media watch-dog group “Newsbusters”. Watching Olbermann, soldiers get treated to;

Radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh (popular amongst many in the military), depicted as a gunfire target.

Crass references made about the body of Miss California, Carrie Prejean, because she should have the temerity to say that, like her state, she believed marriage should be between one man and one woman.

A whining tirade at any network who should have the nerve to remind Americans what happened on September 11th by replaying footage of the attacks.

Olbermann’s antics regularly fill the pages of a web site specifically dedicated to reporting on his Leftist outrages.

This is the “balance” soldiers, who put their lives on the line out of love for their country, need to see?!

Soldiers don’t need “balance” (especially some warped, America-hating version of “balance”). They need a constant, steady reaffirming of why their sacrifices and what they are sacrificing for, is exceptionally valuable. Such affirmations come reliably from the political Right.

But it doesn’t end there.

When not watching news, soldiers are subjected to “black experience” movies like Soul Food that are so outrageously monochrome as to make anyone not “African-American” watching them feel like they are an alien.

And, if they still have any patriotism left, soldiers can have that eviscerated by watching such winners as American Pastime—a movie about a “Japanese-American” WWII intern who copes with the injustice inflicted upon him by playing America’s pastime; baseball.

What they won’t see is information explaining to them that American citizens of Japanese dissent were interned by Leftist demi-god/icon Franklin D. Roosevelt as a typical Democrat over-reaction to the criticism that he was weak on security. It was done in spite of advice to the contrary by real heroes such as J. Edgar Hoover;

FBI director J. Edgar Hoover also opposed the internment of Japanese Americans. Refuting General DeWitt’s reports of disloyalty on the part of Japanese Americans, Hoover sent a memo to Attorney General Francis Biddle in which he wrote about Japanese American disloyalty, “Every complaint in this regard has been investigated, but in no case has any information been obtained which would substantiate the allegation.” ~ Japanese American Internment, Wikipedia.org

Instead, you’ll probably get a special on the myth that Hoover was a cross-dresser—a baseless fabrication created by Leftist history re-writers who had nothing of substance they could slander Hoover with, in spite of how he terrorized them.

Nor will they see a documentary on vicious, barbaric Japanese war crimes such as;

The kidnapping and torture of thousands of Korean girls used as sex slaves.

The use of plagues and biological agents against Chinese men, women and children.

Abuse of all prisoners of war (including Americans) in everything from slave labor ending in being burned to death or buried alive, to having limbs hacked off by samurai katanas simply to test their sharpness.

And these are just a few examples of information that will never eclipse the “horrors” of atomic mushroom clouds.(1)

But if they finally get enough of their patriotism being beat out of them, soldiers can get distracted from professionalism and discipline by the same Western depravity that so motivates the Islamists we are fighting;

Yep. The “Armed Forces Network”. Taking care of soldiers.

As only the Left can.

Am I the only one getting concerned about the level of training our expert military is pouring into Iraq and Afghanistan? One need only go to the most radical Leftist radio show, TV program or internet site to be reminded of how America played a role in empowering bin Laden—

The 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan galvanized bin Laden. He supported the Afghan resistance, which became a jihad, or holy war. Ironically, the U.S. became a major supporter of the Afghan resistance, or mujahideen, working with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to set up Islamic schools in Pakistan for Afghan refugees. These schools later evolved into virtual training centers for Islamic radicals.

By the mid-1980s, bin Laden had moved to Afghanistan, where he established an organization, Maktab al-Khidimat (MAK), to recruit Islamic soldiers from around the world who later form the basis of an international network. The MAK maintained recruiting offices in Detroit and Brooklyn in the 1980s. ~ Who Is Osama bin Laden?, David Johnson, infoplease.com

—and Saddam Hussein—

<img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1988" loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-1988" src="https://johnnycirucci.com/wp-content/uploads/2005/05/Marine-Lance-Cpl.-Ben-Rosenberg.jpg" alt="Marine Lance Cpl. Ben Rosenberg, 31, from Austin, Texas, trains Iraqi Civil Defense Corps soldier Yassir, 22, who fought against U.S. troops when they invaded Iraq one year ago.

US soldiers now fighting the remnants of Saddam’s regime can look back to the early 1980s for the start of a relationship that fostered the rise of the largest military in the Middle East…Reagan, determined to check arch-foe Iran, opened a back door to Iraq through which flowed US intelligence and hundreds of millions of dollars in loan guarantees…It was complemented by French weaponry and German dual-use technology that experts say wound up in Iraq’s chemical and biological warfare programs.

Donald Rumsfeld, then Reagan’s special Middle East envoy, is credited with establishing the back channel to Saddam on a secret trip to Baghdad in December 1983.

Washington had plenty of motives to help Saddam stave off an Iranian victory. Not only was the United States still smarting from the 1980 hostage-taking at the US embassy in Tehran, but its embassy and a marine barracks in Beirut had been struck with truck bombings earlier in 1983. ~ Reagan Played Decisive Role in Saddam Hussein’s Survival in Iran-Iraq War, Agence France Presse, June 9, 2004

Now, I’m not second-guessing what the State Department did in an effort to throw the Soviet Union out of Afghanistan and keep Iran at bay, but certainly some increased introspection was due in both cases with particular focus on RELIGION and HISTORY, specifically in how Islam has never been warm towards the US.

Of particular concern is how a “military consultant” gushed recently on Fox News that Iraqi Special Forces are “particularly good.” There are other special forces units that were trained by the U.S. military who are putting their skills to new uses—

Elite Mexican commandos, trained by U.S. forces to combat the drug cartels have switched sides and are working for the drug smugglers in the border area posing a special hazard to American law enforcement and Border Patrol agents, according to a U.S. Justice Department memo.

The commandos, trained by the U.S. Army at Fort Benning, Ga., are known as “Los Zetas.” Los Zetas are known to be extremely violent and have been blamed for an outbreak of violence along the Mexican border.

There are reports of the commandos making cross-border runs into U.S. territory in military-style vehicles, armed with automatic weapons. ~ Mexican Commandos New Threat On Border, WorldNetDaily

It would appear that we have again contributed to the empowerment of those who hate us. In fact, one could make an excellent case for the illegal immigration from Mexico as being very much a “war.”

It’s bad enough when unwitting politicians and bureaucrats make these decisions through a lapse in judgment—but it’s unconscionable when done purposefully:

The Chinese connection exploded with the arrival of the Clinton administration. A younger crowd of American politicians had skipped the part about patriotism, about the pledge of allegiance, about loyalty not only to country but to much of anything other than themselves. The Clinton policy toward China was merely an extension of these values: What’s in for us and how soon? The notion of national security was almost alien to them; besides, they had the new paradigm of globalization to keep them warm. Here are just a few of the things that happened along the way:

Named Commerce Secretary, Ron Brown [who] treated his post as just another place to wheel and deal…on one occasion okaying the sale of new American engines for China to put in its cruise missiles. The engines had been built as military equipment but Brown reclassified them as civilian.

The Saudis wanted some American planes; Brown told them: You want the planes, you also want a phone contract with ATT. Cost of the planes and hardware: $6 billion. Cost of the phone contract: $4 billion. Part of the deal, it turned out, was an ATT side agreement with a firm called First International. The owner: Ron Brown.

Former London Sunday Times correspondent James Adams wrote a book in which he described the Chinese success with the Clinton crowd as “an espionage coup of epic proportions.”

According to the New York Times, Clinton removed $2 billion in trade with China from national security scrutiny. Among the results: 77 supercomputers – capable of 13 billion calculations per second – that could scramble and unscramble secret data and design nuclear weapons. These were purchased by the Chinese without a peep stateside. At least some of them would be used by the Chinese military.

With the transfer of the Panama Canal, four of Panama’s ports ended up being controlled by a company partially…by Li Ka-Shing, a billionaire so close to the Chinese power structure that he was offered the governorship of Hong Kong.

Another owner of the Panamanian ports was China Resources Enterprise, called an “agent of espionage” by Senator Fred Thompson. CRE was also a partner of the Lippo Group, owned by the Riady family that played a central if mysterious role in the rise of William Clinton.

Clinton signed national security waivers to allow four U.S. commercial satellites to be launched in China, despite evidence that China was exporting nuclear and missile technology to Pakistan and Iran, among other nations. One of these satellites belonged to Loral…A subsequent lawsuit charged that the circuit board from the highly classified encryption device in the satellite was found to be missing when the Chinese returned debris from the explosion to U.S. authorities…

The New York Times reported in 1998 that the Defense Technology Security Administration said Loral’s unauthorized release of sensitive technology to the Chinese gave rise to at least three “major” violations of U.S. national security, three medium violations and 12 “minor” infractions.

Throughout these dealings, the CEO of Loral, Bernard Schwartz, contributed at least $1.5 million to the Democrats, making him the single largest contributor to these groups during the period in question.

Softwar newsletter reported that that some of the radios and cell phones being used by Chinese police in their campaign against dissidents were those sold to the Chinese by Motorola after Clinton overrode human rights objections by the State Department.

In the end, the…Chinese had obtained more American military secrets over the past two decades than had all the previous spies in American history put together. They had basic information on all nuclear weapons systems, they got our most advanced supercomputers, they gained extraordinarily important information about satellite systems. Some of this knowledge they used for themselves; some they retrofitted and repackaged and sold to other countries like Iraq, where it was used against our own fighter planes.

Three major players in the China scandal – John Huang, Charlie Trie and Johnny Chung – were all allowed by the Justice Department to cop pleas.

Sam Smith, NewsMax.com, Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001

—Political insiders interested only in doing whatever it takes to stay in power? —Statesmen without sense to look forward or backward in time? —Super-secret group responsible for insuring the future of the “military/industrial complex”…or just plain morons? Take your pick. The bottom line is, it would seem that we are the ones who make (or allow) our own trouble.

Oh yeah…would you like to ask Ron Brown about all these strange affairs of his (and possibly connect them to William Jefferson Clinton)? Well you can’t because he died in a “freak” plane crash. ‘Guess there wasn’t time for him to commit suicide.

UPDATE: It seems that there is yet ANOTHER issue of treason and affront left behind by the Clinton administration.

During his scandal-ridden tenure, Bill “I loath the military” Clinton decided to exercise the military he did his best to destroy through budget cuts and a radical-left agenda of forcibly-integrating homosexuals and women by sending them to the quagmire that was Yugoslavia.

Since then, it has come to light that Clinton relied heavily upon jihadists he had transplanted from Afghanistan and elsewhere, then trained and equipped them, further sowing the seeds for the chaos we are reaping today:

From 1992 to 1995, the Pentagon assisted with the movement of thousands of mujahedin and other Islamic elements from Central Asia into Europe, to fight alongside Bosnian Muslims against the Serbs.

The Bosnia venture appears to have been very important to the rise of mujahedin forces, to the emergence of today’s cross-border Islamic terrorists who think nothing of moving from state to state in the search of outlets for their jihadist mission.

As part of the Dutch government’s inquiry into the Srebrenica massacre of July 1995, Professor Cees Wiebes of Amsterdam University compiled a report entitled “Intelligence and the War in Bosnia”, published in April 2002. In it he details the secret alliance between the Pentagon and radical Islamic groups from the Middle East, and their efforts to assist Bosnia’s Muslims. By 1993, there was a vast amount of weapons-smuggling through Croatia to the Muslims, organized by “clandestine agencies” of the USA, Turkey and Iran, in association with a range of Islamic groups that included Afghan mujahedin and the pro-Iranian Hezbollah. Arms bought by Iran and Turkey with the financial backing of Saudi Arabia were airlifted from the Middle East to Bosnia—airlifts with which, Wiebes points out, the USA was “very closely involved”.

Under the terms of the 1995 Dayton peace accord, the foreign mujahedin units were required to disband and leave the Balkans. Yet in 2000, the State Department raised concerns about the “hundreds of foreign Islamic extremists” who became Bosnian citizens after fighting against the Serbs, and who pose a potential terror threat to Europe and the United States. US officials claimed that one of bin Laden’s top lieutenants had sent operatives to Bosnia, and that during the 1990s Bosnia had served as a “staging area and safe haven” for al-Qa’eda and others.

Indeed, for all the Clinton officials’ concern about Islamic extremists in the Balkans, they continued to allow the growth and movement of mujahedin forces in Europe through the 1990s. In the late 1990s, in the run-up to Clinton’s and Blair’s Kosovo war of 1999, the USA backed the Kosovo Liberation Army against Serbia. According to a report in the Jerusalem Post in 1998, KLA members, like the Bosnian Muslims before them, had been “provided with financial and military support from Islamic countries”, and had been “bolstered by hundreds of Iranian fighters or mujahedin…[some of whom] were trained in Osama bin Laden’s terrorist camps in Afghanistan”.

Why is this aspect of the mujahedin’s development so often overlooked?

It would appear that when it comes to Bosnia, many in the West have a moral blind spot. For some commentators, particularly liberal ones, Western intervention in Bosnia was a Good Thing…Many journalists and writers demanded intervention in Bosnia and Western support for the Muslims. In many ways, this was their war, where they played an active role in encouraging further intervention to enforce “peace” among the former Yugoslavia’s warring factions. Consequently, they often overlook the downside to this intervention and its divisive impact on the Balkans.

…a cool analysis of today’s disparate Islamic terror groups, created in Afghanistan and emboldened by the Bosnian experience, would do much to shed some light on precisely the dangers of such intervention. ~ How We Trained al-Qa’eda by Brendan O’Neill (The Spectator 9/12/03)

I don’t know what’s more disgusting: the depth of depravity Clinton used to defile this nation for 8 long years, or the fact that he was voted into office and is still popular at this writing.
