Don Mulford, a conservative Republican state assemblyman from Alameda County, which includes Oakland, was determined to end the Panthers’ police patrols. To disarm the Panthers, he proposed a law that would prohibit the carrying of a loaded weapon in any California city. When Newton found out about this, he told Seale, “You know what we’re going to do? We’re going to the Capitol.” Seale was incredulous. “The Capitol?” Newton explained: “Mulford’s there, and they’re trying to pass a law against our guns, and we’re going to the Capitol steps.” Newton’s plan was to take a select group of Panthers “loaded down to the gills,” to send a message to California lawmakers about the group’s opposition to any new gun control.
THE PANTHERS’ METHODS provoked an immediate backlash. The day of their statehouse protest, lawmakers said the incident would speed enactment of Mulford’s gun-control proposal. Mulford himself pledged to make his bill even tougher, and he added a provision barring anyone but law enforcement from bringing a loaded firearm into the state capitol.
Republicans in California eagerly supported increased gun control. Governor Reagan told reporters that afternoon that he saw “no reason why on the street today a citizen should be carrying loaded weapons.” He called guns a “ridiculous way to solve problems that have to be solved among people of good will.” In a later press conference, Reagan said he didn’t “know of any sportsman who leaves his home with a gun to go out into the field to hunt or for target shooting who carries that gun loaded.” The Mulford Act, he said, “would work no hardship on the honest citizen.” ~ The Atlantic
Reagan received extended applause when answering a question about over-the- counter military weapons, such as the AK-47 assault rifle used to gun down five Stockton schoolchildren last month.
”I do not believe in taking away the right of the citizen for sporting, for hunting and so forth, or for home defense,” he said. ”But I do believe that an AK-47, a machine gun, is not a sporting weapon or needed for defense of a home.”
The speech was Reagan’s first public event since a spirited welcome home airport rally Jan. 20, the day he relinquished the presidency to George Bush. The former president said he does not relish retirement.
”Two weeks ago, I went into retirement. Boy, am I glad that’s over,” said Reagan. ~ AP News
Good show. Reading your book. Have you heard Ignatius Loyola was illuminati cabalist Talmudic Sephardic Jew; that he created illuminati not Weishaupt?
Thanks Janice.
I have heard that and I’m afraid it’s quite absurd. It’s actually a smokescreen put out by the Jesuits.
After the suppression of the Templars in 1307, their successors, the Jesuits, learned to never again allow their own faces and names to be attached to their machinations–ESPECIALLY banking (the Templars were the first modern usury bankers).
Since then they have found a way to hide behind Jews ever since.
“The Illuminati” was absolutely created by Weishaupt in 1776 in reaction to the suppression of the Jesuits in 1773. Weishaupt was from a Jewish family but he was trained entirely by Jesuits and even went on to teach “Canon Law” at Jesuit Ingolstadt University.
I’m convinced he was secretly ordained a Jesuit priest.
Loyola was a Spanish Basque noble who lived 200 years prior to this. He was NOT a “cabalistic Talmudic Sephardic Crypto Jew”.
