To so many on the Right, Senator Joe Lieberman (I, CT) is known as a “stand-up” guy…a man of integrity that we can count on as an ally in “The War on Terror”.
In his last fight to get re-elected, he was knocked out of the Democrat primary by Ned Flanders..no, scratch that. New England socialist Ned Lamont, who comes from a long, proud line of blue-blooded, Ruling Elite, wealth redistributors. Next to Lamont’s ravings, Lieberman seemed even more palatable to the Heartland. With bumps from “National Pubic Radio” as talkshow host Mark Levin calls it, he could do no wrong to the Right:
Sen. Joe Lieberman, crippled by his support for the Iraq war, lost the Democratic nomination for a fourth term Tuesday to a political newcomer who portrayed him as an apologist for the Bush administration. ~ Lieberman Loses Connecticut Senate Primary, NPR (AP)
But if you follow him in any way, you’ll soon find that Uncle Joe is doing the Right, and America, far more harm than good.
I could be charitable and say that he has “bought into” the pseudo-science deception known as “Global Warming”…um, I mean “Climate Change”, but with so much of the data being shown by the priests and priestesses of Gaia now having been proven to not only be false, but purposefully skewed and manipulated, I am hard-pressed to give the good Senator wiggle room on this.
The Kerry – Lieberman American Power Act (APA) is a disastrous, unnecessary solution for a non-existent problem. Worse, it’s a problem that exists only in a grossly inadequate computer model whose projections have never been correct. It is predicated on the false assumption that an increase in CO2 causes a temperature increase. Every record of any duration for any period in Earth’s history shows temperature increases before CO2 increases. The false assumption is the basis of all global warming and climate change used in the corrupted research and models of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It is impossible to imagine such an unjustified basis for any action, except to undermine the U.S. economy for political gain. ~ Kerry – Lieberman: Corrupt Climate Science Used To Destroy U.S. Economy, Dr. Tim Ball, Canada Free Press
Now the name of this piece of legislation is actually in propaganda code but the cipher is the same for all Leftist bills: take the name of the bill and flip it exactly 180° and you will know what the bill is intended to do. The “Kerry/Lieberman American Power Act” is designed to make “American Power” so cost prohibitive you are forced to live like a poor European.
We know Joe Lieberman is a stand-up guy but, John Kerry?!
OK, well maybe he just slipped up a bit there. He was simply misguided.
But one thing Uncle Joe has been pretty unhelpful on are the “social issues”. You know, like the ones Republican presidential hopeful and former Republican Party Chairman Haley Barbour says should be taken a time-out on …?
When it came to Pro Lifers being anguished over watching abortion figure prominently in “Obama-care” (meaning it was a foundational part of the new socialized medicine initiative, requiring those who find the killing of the unborn to be abhorrent now having to pay for it themselves), our friend was rather unfriendly.
When asked if it is morally right to make pro-life Americans pay for health insurance plans that cover abortion, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I.-Conn.) said government makes people pay for things they think are immoral “all the time.” ~ Karen Schuberg, CNSNews
And the “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender” community sure has a champion in this Connecticut moderate. He sponsored a bill for them that would require taxpayers to give “domestic partner” benefits to homosexual couples.
But right after the resounding success the Tea Party had last November, the apparatchiks in D.C. knew their free ride on the Debauchery Express was about to end. They were not about to go quietly into that Good Night. They purposed to push the final few suicide planks of destruction into the flames in a “lame-duck” session designed only to keep government functioning. So instead of legislation to fund the most basic requirements of public service, we got initiatives such as the opening of the military to avowed homosexuals.
Yep. You bet. When something isn’t broke, (especially when it has to do with the United States military), the Left rushes right in there to chuck a Primate Plier into the works.
And who lead the way on this unaccountable outrage? “Moderate” “Independent” Senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut.
But our friend the Independent has always been pushing to make the military his playground of perversion, as this article from February 2010 shows:
Connecticut Independent Senator Joe Lieberman will be the chief sponsor of Senate legislation to repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that bars openly gay men and women from serving in the military.
“I will be proud to be a sponsor of the important effort to enable patriotic gay Americans to defend our national security and our founding values of freedom and opportunity,” he said in a statement Monday in which he noted his longtime opposition to the policy. ~ Joe Lieberman to Take Lead on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in Senate, Brian Montopoli, CBS News
To the right of our good friend, Joe, is another good friend, Senator Susan Collins (RINO, ME). They are together “helping” us alot.
Barack Hussein Obama is, without a doubt, the most radical Leftist ideologue ever to take the reins of the greatest country on Earth. A little vignette to prove my point, if I may.
On the issue of abortion, Barack Obama is so extreme that NARAL just skips rating him and says, “He’s our man, forever!”
Why Obama Really Voted For Infanticide
Andrew C. McCarthy
National Review OnlineThere wasn’t any question about what was happening. The abortions were going wrong. The babies weren’t cooperating. They wouldn’t die as planned. Or, as Illinois state senator Barack Obama so touchingly put it, there was “movement or some indication that, in fact, they’re not just coming out limp and dead.”…
Most of us, of course, opt for “child,” particularly when the “it” is born and living and breathing and in need of our help. Particularly when the “it” is clinging not to guns or religion but to life.
But not Barack Obama. As an Illinois state senator, he voted to permit infanticide. And now, running for president, he banks on media adulation to insulate him from his past.
The record, however, doesn’t lie.
Infanticide is a bracing word. But in this context, it’s the only word that fits. Obama heard the testimony of a nurse, Jill Stanek. She recounted how she’d spent 45 minutes holding a living baby left to die.
The child had lacked the good grace to expire as planned in an induced-labor abortion — one in which an abortionist artificially induces labor with the expectation that the underdeveloped “fetus, or child — however you want to describe it” will not survive the delivery. …
Stanek’s account enraged the public and shamed into silence most of the country’s staunchest pro-abortion activists. Most, not all. Not Barack Obama.
My friend Hadley Arkes ingeniously argued that legislatures, including Congress, should take up “Born Alive” legislation: laws making explicit what decency already made undeniable: that from the moment of birth — from the moment one is expelled or extracted alive from the birth canal — a human being is entitled to all the protections the law accords to living persons.
Such laws were enacted by overwhelming margins. In the United States Congress, even such pro-abortion activists as Sen. Barbara Boxer went along.
But not Barack Obama. In the Illinois senate, he opposed Born-Alive tooth and nail.
The shocking extremism of that position — giving infanticide the nod over compassion and life — is profoundly embarrassing to him now. So he has lied about what he did. He has offered various conflicting explanations, ranging from the assertion that he didn’t oppose the anti-infanticide legislation (he did), to the assertion that he opposed it because it didn’t contain a superfluous clause reaffirming abortion rights (it did), to the assertion that it was unnecessary because Illinois law already protected the children of botched abortions (it didn’t — and even if it arguably did, why oppose a clarification?).
Needless to say, a man with this sick level of dedication to the Leftist Altar of Depravity & Destruction is at the least not qualified to be president and certainly should be fought in his agenda at every step of the way.
But not only is Senator Lieberman not fighting Mr. Obama, he’s enabling him.
Giving Conspiracy Theorists skull-splitting conniptions, Moderate Joe is now advocating that Barack Obama have an “Internet Kill Switch”. Well that’s the first thing that comes to my mind to bequeath the man raised by William Ayres, Jeremiah Wright and Frank Marshall Davis: the ability to cut off and control the biggest source of resistance he has next to talk radio—free information on the internet.
A controversial bill handing President Obama power over privately owned computer systems during a “national cyberemergency,” and prohibiting any review by the court system, will return this year.
Internet companies should not be alarmed by the legislation, first introduced last summer by Sens. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), a Senate aide said last week. …
Civil libertarians and some industry representatives have repeatedly raised concerns about the various proposals to give the executive branch such broad emergency power. On the other hand, as Lieberman and Collins have highlighted before, some companies, including Microsoft, Verizon, and EMC Corporation, have said positive things about the initial version of the bill. [I’ll bet they have! If Microsoft and Google say it’s OK, then everything will be just fine, won’t it?!]
But last month’s rewrite that bans courts from reviewing executive branch decrees has given companies new reason to worry. “Judicial review is our main concern,” said Steve DelBianco, director of the NetChoice coalition, which includes eBay, Oracle, Verisign, and Yahoo as members. “A designation of critical information infrastructure brings with it huge obligations for upgrades and compliance.” ~ Renewed Push to Give Obama an Internet “Kill Switch”, Declan McCullagh, CBS News
And there’s Susan Collins again! Don’t they work well together?!
Barack Obama has appointed so many “czars” that you can’t even get an accurate count from the varying sources of news media. He has created a veritable “shadow government” of unaccountable bureaucrats who are enacting his radical agenda unseen and untouched by the American voter.
What’s the best thing you can think of to do in this regard? Why give Mr. Obama carte blanche, of course!
Group Of Senators Push To Shield More Obama Appointees From Confirmation
the San Francisco ExaminerPresidential appointments are one way the White House can impose its agenda on the nation without having to actually pass legislation. Once confirmed, political appointees can operate relatively under the radar, making new rules that have widespread implications but aren’t well known out of the small community of people who follow these issues carefully. Now, a group of Senators is pushing to eliminate the confirmation process for 200 of these positions — removing the one check on them. …
The plan was put together by Rules Committee Chairman Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., the committee’s top Republican Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and the heads of the House Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., and Susan Collins, R-Maine.
Now I know Senator Charles Schumer is a dear friend of radio host Mark Levin, he talks about him all the time. Isn’t it heartwarming to see such a “bipartisan effort” in cutting Mr. Obama free from those pesky voters? He only has the best of intents for America, after all. He has such confidence in us, he even said that we could easily “absorb” another 9/11! Who says he isn’t a leader?!
But there is our dynamic duo, at it again: Susan Collins and Joseph Lieberman.
Could lovers of the Great Experiment get any more beat down by these Deliverers of Deception?
I can’t take it. I’m going to go see what Alex Jones is saying.
